Mrs. Stovall was my first Sunday School teacher. She was the first Christian/person I encountered to teach me who Jesus was. I grew up in Rialto in the 1970's and was very poor. She offered to buy me shoes so I would not feel embarrassed by not having decent shoes. She was an amazing lady and I look forward to seeing her again on the heaven side. Because of the seeds she planted in my life my husband and I have lived a life of service to the Lord and have raised our children to do the same. I offer my condolences to her family for their loss. She will be greatly missed by me. This past year was the first time that my Christmas card came back unopened. Every year I would write her to thank her for not only blessing my life but giving me the building blocks for my eternity. Please let her grandchildren and great grandchildren know what an awesome lady she was! One life can impact the Kingdom forever! She will be missed!

I lived across the street from Miss Emma. I lived with my grandpa and he always joked with her about being bent over in her rose garden! Growing up her and Mr Jim had the only non-gravel driveway so I'd ALWAYS be happy when her and my grandpa would stand out and talk for hours because I could FINALLY skate in her driveway. But ONE time I picked a rose when I didn't see her- oh. But she saw me! I will never ever forget her storming over to tell my grandpa what I had done and then they both took turns chastising me... I never even looked at her flowers even as an adult! She was the grandmother to all us kids on the block that grew up on McKinley "way back in the day" she commanded nothing but respect but freely gave the love of Christ to every one of us. Our entire family offers condolences
