Emma Herrera's Obituary
Emma Herrera (86) a resident of San Bernardino passed away at home on May 16, 2010. Emma graduated from San Bernardino High School in 1942. She had operated Don Pepe’s Restaurant in Running Springs for over ten years. Prior to her owning her restaurant, Emma had worked Gonzales Market, which her family owned, for many years. Emma liked to travel and was an accomplished seamstress. Emma was a life long Catholic, and attended Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church (Formerly St. Anne’s) for the past 25 years.
Emma is survived by her husband of 47 years; Efren Herrera, and her daughter; Deborah J. Strobel, sisters; Rachel Humildad, and Aurora Garcia, brother; Enrique Gonzales as well as seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sons; Albert Terry Hartsch and Arthur Ted Hartsch and brother; Rodrigo Gonzales.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 24, 2010 from 5 until 7 PM at the Bobbitt Memorial Chapel 1299 E Highland Ave., San Bernardino With a Rosary at 7:00 PM. Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church 6885 Del Rosa Ave., San Bernardino with a private interment.
