Emma Lee Campbell's Obituary
Emma Lee Campbell, 82 of San Bernardino, CA passed away January 19, 2010 at her home in San Bernardino surrounded by her family. Originally from Georgia, Emma had lived in the San Bernardino area since the late sixties.
A homemaker for most of her married life Emma worked later for the San Bernardino School District for 11 years. She was very involved in the First Baptist Church of San Bernardino, where she was a Deaconess and she also volunteered at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. She really enjoyed playing the guitar and occasionally played for church events; she also enjoyed time in her garden
She was preceded in death by her brothers Nathaniel “Buddy” and
Abraham, her sister Bessie and her grandson Steve Lamont.
She is survived by her children Lula Mae Ancrum (Samuel), Leonard Mitchell, Stephen Mitchell (Ella J.), Angie Monk (Larry), Lynda Mitchell-White, William Campbell (Sheila) and Dorothy White. Also surviving her are her 4 brothers, 3 sisters, 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday January 28, at First Baptist Church of San Bernardino, 4747 State St. San Bernardino, CA 92407 at 11am with a brief visitation held one our prior. A graveside service will follow at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, CA 92518 at 1:30pm, Staging Area #3
