ELMORE K. MILES's Obituary
Elmore K. Miles, 88 Elmore passed away on Friday, January 9, 2009, at St. Bernardine Medical Center. He was a resident of Highland for 33 years, a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, and a member of California State P.E.R.S. Elmore was an Apprenticeship Consultant for the State of California for 30 years. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Phyllis Miles; his son, Ron Miles, of La Quinta, CA; 2 daughters—Mary Jo Evans, of Claremont, CA, and Ellen Kaye Miles, of Granville, Ohio; 3 brothers—Wade Miles, Jerry Brooks Miles, and George Watt Miles; 2 sisters—Mattie Benfield and Lillian Mills; 9 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at 10:00 AM, at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Avenue, San Bernardino. Interment will follow at Montecito Memorial Park, in Colton.
