EDWARD BYRON HOWES's Obituary
Edward B. Howes, 86, a resident of Huntington Beach, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2008. He was, for many years, a resident of Highland and San Bernardino. He retired, after 30 years of service as a Chief Appraiser/Vice-President of Redlands Federal Savings and Loan. During WWII, Edward served in the Army Air Corps as a decorated fighter pilot. He was a member of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Westminster, the Society of Residential Appraisers and the San Bernardino Kiwanis Club. Survivors include: his wife, Virginia; a daughter, Sharon Schlesinger; two sons, Tom and Michael; a sister, Patricia Lee of Lopez Island, WA; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Frankie Lee Howes, in 1982. A visitation will be held Sunday, September 14, 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. and funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m., both at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Avenue.
