Edith "Edie" Marie Guinn's Obituary
Edith “Edie” Marie Guinn, 97, of Covina, CA passed away peacefully January 9, 2008. Edie was a life long resident of San Bernardino and recently moved to Masonic Home in Covina. She graduated from Pomona High School and attended nurses training at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles. She worked for over 20 years as a Medical Assistant to an Eye Doctor. Edie was an active participant in the Women’s California Bowling Association and played softball for many years in her younger days. She was a member of White Shrine Lodge #17, The Eastern Star Chapter #212 and many other organizations. She enjoyed doing handy work such as crocheting painting and needlepoint. Edie was preceded in death by her husband Claude. She is survived by her son Robert (Mary) of Bloomington MN, grandson David Guinn (Diane) of St. Francis MN, granddaughters Donna Lee (Tim) and Cheryl Flaagan (Craig) both of Fargo ND, and six great grandchildren. A viewing will be held 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday January 15, 2008 with her service at 10:30 a.m. followed by a reception all at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave. San Bernardino, CA 92404. Interment will follow at Montecito Memorial Park, 3520 E. Washington St. Colton, CA 92324.
