Dorothy Jean Rebenstorf's Obituary
Dorothy Jean Rebenstorf, 81, our beloved Mother went to be with the Lord on Oct.4, 2010.
Dorothy was born on June 10, 1929 to Lewis & Evelyn Wodetzki, in Danville, IL. Dorothy met the love of her life, John C. Rebenstorf, III at Danville High School and after a short courtship they married on July 25, 1948 and had seven children who were all born on the 25th day of a month.
Dorothy and her husband moved to Highland, CA in 1970. She worked for the San Bernardino School District and was an active member of the Arden Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was active with Pathfinders, Vacation Bible School, Dorcas and taught Sabbath School.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Lewis, her husband, John III, her son, John IV, and granddaughters, Cherie Walsh & Amie Walsh-Penneau.
She is survived by six children: Bruce (Patti), Jane (Jeff) Bouch both of Highland, CA, David (Sharron) of Tyler, TX, Richard (Hal) of Edmonds, WA, Thomas (Cecilia) of Mentone, CA and Dorothy Jean “Buffy” (Tom) Hutchison of Goleta, CA, her foster daughter Tani (Danny)Ruff, of Ozawaki, KS and her daughter in law Linda of Redlands CA. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Also, brothers Richard of Danville, IL and Glen of Yucaipa, CA, and sisters Joan Brittingham of Georgetown, IL and Louise Cochran of Sebring, FL. and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to especially recognize her neice, Lea Brittingham of Loma Linda, CA
Visitation will be Sunday, October 10th from 5-7pm at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92404. Funeral Services will be held at 10am on October 11th, at Arden Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church, 5801 Arden Ave, Highland, CA 92346. Burial will follow at Montecito Memorial Park, Waterman Ave & Barton Road, Colton, CA. Her celebration of life will be held at the Arden Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church, Highland, CA.
