Mrs Dora Juarez Moreno's Obituary
Dora Juarez Moreno
Oct. 2, 1927 – Aug 21, 2016
Dora J. Moreno entered this life on Sunday, October 2, 1927 in New Mexico, to loving parents Pedro & Aurora Juarez. She passed away peacefully in her home in San Bernardino after a long battle with diabetes on Sunday, August 21, 2016.
Dora had many interests and passions. She was an avid gardener, tending to her garden on a regular basis and keeping a tight schedule on the perennial season. She was a antique collector whose collection ranged from furniture, quilts, glass ware, and her favorite... Angels. Dora had an immense love for her grandchildren, making sure to spoil them at every opportunity. She was a strong believer in “angels” which was apparent to anyone who knew her.
She devoted much of her life to helping others anyway she could. She donated to many non-profit charities including The Children’s Cancer Fund, St. Jude, and The Wounded Warriors Project. Dora was the matriarch of the family, without a doubt. She will be missed dearly and will have a special place in “heaven” with all the angels.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Joe T. Moreno; sister Alice Alvarez; daughter Velia Munoz; son in law Rosario; son Armando Moreno; granddaughter Lisa Rivas, and four great-grand kids.
The family would like to thank St. Grace Hospice for taking good care of her, especially her caretaker Liliana Jimenez, who was there from day one until her passing.
Memorial Service to be held Sat. Sept. 17, at 2:30 p.m. at the Elks Lodge 2055 Elks Dr. San Bernardino 92404; reception to follow.
