DONALD FERRIS LOUKOS's Obituary
Donald Ferris Loukos 85, passed away on August 3, 2007 in Loma Linda. He was born on August 17, 1921 in Lima, Ohio to Meletios (Mike) Loukos and Josephine A. Frazzy. He was the oldest of six children. He was a veteran of the U.S Army and was sent over-seas to Europe as part of the 76th Infantry Division, 3rd Army under General Patton. He won 2 bronze stars and took part in several key actions toward the close of the war. Most notably crossing of the Saar, Kyll and Rhine Rivers and the breaching of the Siegfried Line. He was a Ballistic Missiles procurement at Norton Air Force Base in San Bernardino, California. After 35 years of Federal Service, he retired and practiced a successful income tax business in Redlands for 15 years. Donald is survived by his wife, Genevieve of Mentone; six children from his first wife, Virginia Easley, Michael F. Loukos (Sherrie), Peter Loukos (Helen), Kathleen M. McIntosh (Jack), Deborah J. Dybowski (Douglas), Pamela A. Resheske, Christine M. Menicucci (Michael); 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, brother, Constantine of Lima, Ohio; sisters, Mary Kanatas of Fullerton, Joanne Stevenson of Phoenix, Arizona and was predeceased by his brother John and sister Vacelia Rich. Viewing will be held from 4-7 with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave., San Bernardino. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 10816 Mt. View Ave., Loma Linda. Interment will follow at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, staging area #7
