I'm sorry to hear of this loss to the family. Don was one of the "Really Good Guys" in life. It has been many years since I have seen Don, but he left a lasting impression on me on how to treat people in life. I worked for Laura Scudder's Snack Foods and Chips and met Don in the late 60's in the grocery business. I also remember Lee also working for Vons #97 in the mid 70's. I never heard a fellow employee or a vendor ever have a bad word to say about Don....a real classy guy. Many of his friends called him the "Gentle Giant" refering to his size and the polite way he spoke to people. I have called many other old Stater employees about this loss and they also praise him. We need more people like Don in this world to turn things around.
