Donald Arthur Kipp's Obituary
Donald A. Kipp, 75, passed away September 7, 2006 at St. Bernardine Medical Center of complications of pneumonia. Don arrived in San Bernardino in 1949 with the US Air Force. Following his release from the Air Force, Don was with the San Bernardino Police Dept. for 3 years. Don’s family was proud of his educational accomplishments, completing his AA, BA BS and Masters Degree’s. Don eventually retired as Captain of the California Highway Patrol after 28 years of dedicated service. Following his retirement, Don was employed by Senator Ruben Ayala for 10 years, and attended the San Bernardino Area Chamber of Commerce as well as many community activities and organizations. Don was a member of the San Bernardino Masonic Lodge, San Bernardino Elks Club and was active in many law enforcement organizations. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lois, daughters, Elizabeth Grisamore (Mark), Claudia Miller (Michael), son Don Kipp (Susan), 2 brothers, Dan and Harry Kipp, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Thursday September 14, 2006 11:00AM at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave., San Bernardino.
