Dee MacQuiddy's Obituary
Dolores Katherine MacQuiddy, 100, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2012. "Dee" was born January 2, 1912 in Lyons, Kansas, to August and Emma Stolz. The family eventually moved to Ottawa, Kansas and then finally to San Bernardino, California.
Dee was described best by family and friends as "Amazing". In the 1950's she was awarded the title of "Business Woman of the Year" for achievements in her Accounting Profession. She was a member of the Tri-County Chapter of the Public Accountants Society. She later specialized in tax preparation and tax problem solving until age 95.
Dee was active in her church, acting as Lecturer at St. Anne's Catholic Church, and later serving as Lecturer at St. Adelaide's Catholic Church in Highland. She was an accomplished and vocally gifted speaker whether it be speaking in the church as a Lecturer or speaking at a Tax Conference as the Presenter.
She was preceeded in death by her Husband, Harrold, and Son, Gary, her Son-In-Law, Richard F. Lee; Sister, Bertha and Brother, "Bud". Survivors include her Daughter, Marilyn Lee of San Bernardino, grandchildren: Dayna Lee of Highland, Brian Lee (Cici) of Fresno, CA and great-grandchildren: Jason Lee and Alicia Cearley (Matt) of Ft. Worth, Texas, and many nephews and nieces.
