Dolores "Dee" A. Geib's Obituary
Dee A. Geib, longtime resident of Highland, CA, went to be with our Lord Monday, March 31, 2014. Dee was born in Akron, Ohio on November 7, 1933 to John and Anna Paris. Her family lived in Kentucky until she was twelve, when they moved to the Los Angeles area for her father’s job with the railroad. She was christened Dolores Anna, but friends nicknamed her Dee and it stuck.
She married her husband of 40 years, Deane O. Geib, in 1959 in San Bernardino, and they settled in Highland and raised two daughters, Diane and Denise. Dee was a devoted mom, helping with PTA, Girl Scouts, and seeing the girls to dance and piano lessons and school activities. She was active in her community in Junior Women’s and Women’s Club, Casa Ninos, Del Rosa Heights Baptist Church, and National Charity League. She enjoyed league bowling, dancing, and had an over 35-year tradition of weekly pan games with some of her most treasured friends, which continued until just weeks before her death.
Over the years, she worked as an Administrative Assistant for Northwestern Mutual Life, George DeMarco, and Ken Garrett. She and Deane were active with the local Elks and RV Group as well.
Dee will be remembered for her warm smile, positive outlook, and sense of humor and her devotion to family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
