Dennis Charles Sauer's Obituary
Dennis Sauer was born in Minot, North Dakota in 1942. He moved to San Bernardino, California with his parents and siblings in the 1950’s and he graduated from Aquinas High School in 1960. He worked as an electrician with IBEW and oversaw the completion of many projects as a highly respected foreman. Dennis was the first born son of Pat and Irene Sauer and the supportive and loving oldest brother to Jerry Sauer, Jim Sauer, Alane Reider, Peggy Kluge, and Judi Ramiro. He married the love of his life, Pamela Ann McCready, and raised their family in San Bernardino.
Dennis was a devout Catholic and an active parishioner at St. Anne and then St. Adelaide Catholic Churches where he was a Eucharistic Minister for more than 40 years.
He was a devoted and loving father and grandfather who dedicated his life to his wife, children, and grandchildren. Dennis was a gifted craftsman and enjoyed tinkering, building furniture, and even added on several rooms to their family home. He could truly fix anything from a broken heart to a broken toy!
Dennis passed into his eternal rest on January 29, surrounded by his wife and children. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Pamela Sauer, and his 4 children: Mary Strachan, Janis Dougherty, Dennis Sauer II, and Stephanie Martin; 15 grandchildren: Alexa, Erica, Teddy, Victoria, Michelle, Samantha, Tommy, Brandon, Amelia, Ryan, Andrew, Zachary, Krysia, Kendall, Kyle; and 5 great grandchildren: Richard, Elias, Jackson, Graham, and Avery who all loved their “Poppy” very much!
