DELIA DORIS WEAVER's Obituary
Delia Thibeau Weaver, 97, passed away in San Bernardino on April 5, 2009. She was born on October 2, 1911 to Howard and Celina Thibeau. She graduated from Fort Fairfield High School and Maine School of Commerce. She married Dana H. Weaver on February 14, 1944, and they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this year. They lived in Presque ME until 1952 when they moved to San Bernardino. Delia was an accomplished woman and was involved in many philanthropic organizations throughout her many years in the area. Some of these organizations include: Red Cross Gray ladies at Patton State Hospital, President, Catholic Social Services Volunteers, Knights Ladies of 905, PEO Sisters - Chapter PE, Secretary and Life Member of St. Bernardine Hospital Auxiliary, Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow, St. Bernardine Caring Hands Philanthropy Award recipient, Chapter member of Arrowhead Society of the San Bernardino Community Hospital Foundation. In 2007 St. Bernardine Hospital rededicated the ‘Health and Fitness Center’ as The Weaver Health and Fitness Center in honor of Delia and Dana. She was preceded in death by 7 of her siblings. She is survived by her loving husband Dana of San Bernardino, her daughter Sandra Espiritu (Ron) of Seattle Washington, her two sisters Velina Bishop and Ruby Clement, her granddaughter Lisa Gallo (Joe), her Grandson Scott Espiritu, great Grandchildren, Abigail Jayne Gallo and Owen Weaver Gallo and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 796 W 48th Street, San Bernardino, CA on Monday April 13th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a visitation at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92404.
