Darryl Louis Cardamone's Obituary
Darryl L. Cardamone, 77, a longtime resident of San Bernardino County passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026 at his home in Yucaipa, CA after a courageous battle with Pancreatic cancer.
Darryl was born in Pittsburgh, PA on September 19, 1948. He was a young child when his family relocated to California, settling in the San Bernardino area. He graduated from Pacific High School in 1966, served in the US Air Force, then returned to the Redlands/Yucaipa area, where he remained for over 50 years.
Darryl enjoyed a successful career in the telecommunications industry for over 44 years. He rose through the ranks throughout the years having attained the title of Director of US Field Operations.
He was kind, caring and supportive, both a mentor and champion of those around him, helping others to see their true potential. Darryl was particularly adept in the discovery and fostering of individual talents in others, leading to the creation of cohesive and successful teams.
Darryl is survived by his wife of 25 years, Gina Cardamone; 4 children, Heather Cardamone of Yucaipa, Brett Cardamone (Melissa) of Broomfield, CO, Jerry Savage, Jr. (Rochelle) of Hesperia; Chris Savage, Sr. (Marisa) of Hesperia; 10 grandchildren, Shelby, Wyatt, Lyla, Shaylyn, Ashley, Jesse, Christopher Jr, Ileah, Brian, Caleb; and 3 great grandchildren, Adelynn, Dax, and Anakin. He was preceded in death by grandson, Brayden.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Calimesa Worship Center, 940 2nd Street in Calimesa
