Daniel T. Martinez, 76 died on Feb. 17, 2011 with his family by his side. Dan was born Feb. 11, 1935 in Omaha, NE. Son of Mike and Emily Martinez, Dan had 5 Sisters and 2 Brothers:
Eleanor Castillo, Esther Palma, Angie Rocha, Delores Payer, Mary Ojeda, Joe Toledo and John “Marty” Martinez.
In 1954 he married Lena Arena on March 17th. After attending South High School in Omaha, NE he served 21 years in the USAF.
He was preceded in death by his son-Daniel T. Martinez, Jr., and Granddaughter: Jessica Olaez
Siblings: Victor T. Martinez, Angie Rocha, Joe Toledo and Eleanor Castillo and his parents: Mike and Emily Martinez.
Dan is survived by his Wife-Lena Martinez, Daughters: Sherry Olaez (Joe Floro) of Omaha, NE
Diana (Dan) Honeycutt of Omaha, NE, Lynnette (Frank) Weisner of Highland, CA; Sons: Joseph (Shelly) Martinez of Clarksville, TN, David M. Martinez of Highland, CA, John A. Martinez of Highland, CA. He is also survived by: 17 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Great Children numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Friends
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday February 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave. San Bernardino, CA. Dan’s brother-in-law-John Ojeda will officiate. A reception will follow at Native Sons of Golden West
