Dalene Marie Riggs' Obituary
Dalene (Gardner) Riggs, age 80 went to be with the Lord on December 24, 2022. Dalene is survived by her loving Brother and sister-in-law Roy (Cheryl) Riggs, four nephews Jeff (MaryJane) Gardner, David Gardner, Chris (Cathy) Gardner, Matt (Carey) Gardner, one niece Ginny (Pierce) Coady, and plenty of other family and friends.
Dalene is preceded in death by her devoted husband Russel Riggs, Her parents Dale and Helen Gardner, and her Brother Stan (Sondra) Gardner.
Dalene was born and raised in Osceola, Iowa to Lawrence and Helen Gardner. On August 7, 1983 she was married to the love of her life Russell R. Riggs, until his passing in 2019. She is remembered as “Aunt Dinnie” by her family and as a loving wife, caring cousin and dear sister-in-law.
Dalene was a kind woman who, even after years of living with medical challenges, always kept her sense of humor and deep faith. She loved animals and especially cats, her most recent being Moses and Aaron.
Dalene was an executive at IBM for 30 years and an executive secretary at Feldman Brother’s Electronic Supply for several years. She had the fortune of calling many places home from Iowa to Chicago; San Francisco; Moonachie, NJ; and San Bernardino, CA.
