Dale was a very dear friend for many years, Outwardly he was very serious and hard to read at first. Over time we shared many numerous moments. I recall that he was seeing a female from time to time and one day he was at her home when the topic of guns came up. Being the professional ex-law enforcement officer (and range-master)i he offered to show his friend some safety tips. As he began to display his knowledge the shot gun went off and blew a hole in the ceiling. Needless to say Dale was mortified over the incident. After a while he began to get a little ribbing over the incident, but he knew it was all in fun. Although he didn't show it, he felt proud to be included in shall we call it, a VERY embarrassing moment. This was only one of many moments that Dale and I shared What a fine man. I feel better that I knew him, and I miss his serious attitude which was really a cover for what I learned was a humerus man.. R.I.P. J. Byfon Roach
