Dale E. Judy's Obituary
It is with tremendous sorrow that on July 17th,, 2015 at the age of 76, we lost Dale Judy, a man of strong character, devoted husband, cherished father, grandfather, uncle, godfather, great friend and superb role model to his 4 children and 8 grandchildren. He was a long time resident of Highland and was born in Morgantown, WV, a graduate of University High School and attended West Virginia University. Dale is survived by Frances, his loving wife and main squeeze of 56 years. He was always so proud of daughters Shana (Jim) and Kami (Jerry), sons Craig (Tracy) and Christopher (Andrea), blessed with grandchildren Courtney and Cameron Pierre, Katherine Franklin, Spencer and Fallon Judy, and Moxley, Jax and Alexa Judy, sisters Betty and Lenora, brother John, brother in law John Takovich, loving cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Berlin and sister Mary Ellen.
In 1960, Dale and Fran moved to San Bernardino to seek the California Dream, which they indeed found. Always passionate about his work ethics and after 30 years as a meat distributer, Dale, along with son Craig, established Arrowhead Pool Service and Repair, which has serviced the Inland Empire for the last 25 years with honesty and integrity always being top priority. He was a Special Deputy for the San Bernardino Co. Sheriff’s Dept, member of Mission Bay Boat and Ski Club, El Camino Country Club, Elks Club, UPA Pool Assn, a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Adelaides and St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church.
In the mid 70’s, Dale was instrumental in bringing one of his passions, AYSO soccer, to the Inland Empire. He was so proud to be the first Area Director/Commissioner, lead referee and pioneer in elevating the popularity of youth soccer to where it is today. He continued on, refereeing high school and NCAA games. He enjoyed playing Uno, dominoes, card games and liars dice. For such an honest guy, he was an expert at liars dice.
Remember Dale by joining the fight to “red card” Multiple Myeloma by donating life saving blood, plasma or platelets. Also consider registering as a bone marrow donor through LifeStream at 1-800-879-4484. Our love and gratitude goes out to all his doctors at Kaiser, especially Dr. Chan, his staff, angels in the chemo lab and City of Hope. Please leave a online condolence here. Services will be held at a later date.
