Dale Albert Anderson's Obituary
Dale Albert Anderson (Andy) was born on October 9, 1941, to Virginia and Stanley Anderson. He was born in Chicago, Illinois. He attended Oak Park River Forest High School and the University of Southern Mississippi and graduated from Chapman College with a BA degree in Psychology. He was an active member of the Lutheran Church.
Andy served in the United States Air Force from 1963-1989. He was stationed in Hawaii, Thailand, England and Germany. During his time in the Military, Andy was awarded many awards…Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with four devices, Air Force Overseas Service Short Tour Ribbon with three devices, Air Force Overseas Service Long Tour Ribbon with two devices, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two devices, Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon with six devices, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, Air Force Training Ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal.
After retirement, Andy worked at the VA Hospital, was an active member and Chaplain of the American Legion Post 421, traveled the world, and enjoyed his family. Andy is survived by his sister, Audrey Pieper, his brother-in-law, Tom Pieper, his two cousins Russ and Ron Felt, and his many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all who knew him.
