Craig John Jure, 62 passed away at his home in San Bernardino on June 15, 2010. A lifetime resident of San Bernardino, Craig was owner of E. J. Jure Roofing Company which was started by his father. He graduated from Pacific High Read Obituary
I am so sorry to read that Craig has passed. We were close friends many years ago at SB Valley College. Craig always made a place brighter by being there. I left So Cal 38 years ago and haven't seen him since ..... But I suspect he still lit up any room he was in. My condolences to all.

hi,,,I was just trying to track down Craig, as my brother who lives in Highland needs a roof. I see this notice and I can't believe it. Craig was the best, always with a smile, would drop everything and anything at the drop to help you out. He put many a roof on our rentals in San Bernardino..he was the best.

We will miss Craig walking his dogs w/his crazy hats...santa hat duing the holidays and his white haired hat during the cold weather season. We are going to miss Craig when he would be driving or walking by and would stop to talk. Craig was a very nice, fun loving man! A couple of weeks ago I called the office to get a tile estimate.I expected to get Craig on the phone saying "EJ Jure Roofing,We work Saturdays!" in his cheery voice.He did not answer the phone and I was told that Craig had passed away last Tuesday.I was absolutely stunned by the news. Craig you are a great guy and I have known you for many years as my "down the hill roofer". My condolences to your family and huge network of friends.You are missed on this earth but we will meet again one day in heaven.

If I could only send a letter to heaven to tell Craig what an awesome memorial service...standing room only Craig, who does that? He inspired so many, he lifted so many, he touched lives, what a great man, what wonderful stories - my favorite; the house, the girl, and the hat! Our hearts were aching when your roofers spoke from their hearts - that touched all of us. Geri, we talked about going to the French Restaurant and never put it on the calendar, shame on us. I so regret that. George has great stories of working with Craig and his father. George said he looks forward to the day that he and Craig will be laying up golden shingles together in heaven. My heart aches for you Geri and the huge hole you must have in your heart, Craig was big in life. You are a beautiful woman and know that the lord is holding you and guiding you in this next journey. It seems like only yesterday, playing ball in the back yard,roller derby down the drive way, playing army, football on the golf course, wiffle ball at the church or maybe riding the go-cart, it was a much simpler time then but friendships were formed that would last a life time. Even though Craig and I last spoke 5-6 years ago the fond and great memories I have of the entire Jure family will be with me for a lifetime. The world lost an honest and good person, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Geri - Please accept our deepest sympathies. Dr. Joyce called me to let me know that Craig had died while I was out of town. I have known Craig since before high school and am greatly saddened by his passing. I will always remember Craig as a kind man, a lover of animals, and an honest gentleman who took pride in his work and his family. We are so sorry. Craig will be missed by his many friends. Drs. San Bernardino & the Inland Empire was a better place live & do business with Craig Jure of Jure Roofing around. Craig was fun to work & associate with. He was a honest business man who always had his clients best interest in mind. He went out of his way to see that everybody was happy with the end product. Craig always had a positive outlook & truly took an interest in his business relationships. He made you feel like a long lost friend & truly cared for your & others well-being. We are so sadened by his sudden death. We will miss, remember, & cherish our memories of him. Hey Craig,
Heart quakes and a flood of tears hit the area last week, and now most of us move from damage control to assessment. We’ve lost a big piece of the `good’ in our lives and have to try and make the best of it going forward. A memorial event overflowed with family and friends giving testimony to a life well lived by such an admired and loved husband, son, brother, father, uncle and friend. We all learned from a variety of sources on that day that what we have thought was such a good man (though we all can agree, quirky) was even better than imagined. Coming again to know the value you gave us all in our individual lives was magnified immeasurably after hearing the collective impact—my word! You’ve set the bar mighty high for leaving a trail of love, laughs and all sorts of memories behind; we’ll let this serve as an inspiration for us to redouble our own efforts to be good humans from this point on.
So Craig, no more stopping by spur of the moment or hour long phone calls, let’s just continue to get together in thoughts, prayers and dreams. This is as much hello as good-by for me, so we’ll keep in touch.
