CHRISTOS A. LYMPEROPOULOS's Obituary
Christos A Lymperopoulos, 82 passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at his home in Redlands. He was a 50 year resident of the San Bernardino Area. He was the proprietor of the popular Christos Catering business which began at the Woman’s Club in Colton in 1975 and grew into a full time profession for Christos and his family. He served in the regular Greek Army as a Sergeant and fought as an irregular in the resistance during WWII. After that he ran a prep-school in Tripolis and was a professor from the University of Athens. His love for his country inspired Christos to sponsor many overseas immigrants over the years. Christos also belonged to the Redlands Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons where he received his 33rd Degree and was a Shriner of the Scottish Rite. He also belonged to the Torch Club in Redlands for 27 years.
Survivors include: his wife of 60 years, Maria, sons; Athanasios C., Vassilios C., and Charalambos C. Lymperopoulos and his grandchildren; Christos A., Kara C., Andreas A., and Demi R. Lymperopoulos. He was preceded in death by his sister Vassiliki.
A visitation will be held at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel 1299 E Highland Ave., in San Bernardino on Tuesday, April 22 from 4-7:00 pm. Services will be held at St. Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church 1035 Inland Center Rd., San Bernardino on Wednesday April 23 at 10:00 am with interment following at Montecito Cemetery in Colton.
