CHARLES FREDERICK GUYSON's Obituary
Charles Frederick Guyson Sr., 89, passed away January 20, 2009 in San Bernardino, CA. Charles was born January 7, 1920 in Schenectady, NY, he moved to Los Angeles in 1922 and graduated from Eagle Rock High School. Charles met his future wife, Kay in the 10th grade. They were married in 1941 and remained married for 62 years until her passing in 2003. He worked at Douglas Aircraft for 43 years in the Planning Department until his retirement in 1983 as a Supervisor. Charles was a member of Eagle Rock Christian Church for 30 years, but more recently was a member of Lake Arrowhead Community Baptist Church. He was a member of various Masonic Lodges and the Eastern Star along with many other fraternal organizations. In all of these organizations he was always very prominent achieving a Hiram Award and is a past Worshipful Master. His two children, Charles Guyson Jr. and Patricia Andrews, his 6 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and his sister Gladys Quinn survive him. A visitation will be held Thursday January 22nd from 5-7 p.m. at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave. San Bernardino, CA 92404 with a funeral service to follow on Friday January 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. also at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel. Interment will be private.
