Charles "Scotty" Burnett's Obituary
Charles “Scotty” Burnett, 88 of Highland passed away Friday, June 9, 2006 at his home. Born in La Grange, Illinois, Mr. Burnett had been a resident of Highland, san Bernardino for 58 years. He was a member of Arrowhead Country Club for 52 years, and also a member of Kiwanis Club, Lions, B.P.O. Elks, and the Edgehill Clubs. He was the owner of Scotty’s Furniture in San Bernardino from 1950 until 1975. He loved hunting, golf and traveling. He also served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. He is survived by his son John and daughter Holly Trask and her husband Lowell both of Highland. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Ellen and son Bob. A celebration of his life will be Thursday, June 22, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at The Trask home, 3005 Mirada Road, in Highland. Interment will be private at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside.
