CHARLES W. (BILL) JENKINS's Obituary
Charles W. (Bill) Jenkins, 78, a lifetime resident of San Bernardino County, passed away, November 4, 2008 at his home in Fontana. Charles was a Korean War Veteran, a machinist for the Santa Fe Railroad for 40 years and a Leader of Bloomington Booster 4-H for 40 years.
Survivors include: his wife of 54 years, Betty; two daughters, Cathy Dillingham and her husband, Robert, of Barstow, Susie York and her husband, JR, of Fontana; two sons, Chuck Jenkins and his wife, Sandy of Berryton, KS, Scott Jenkins of San Bernardino; five grandchildren, Joseph Harper, Charlie Jenkins, Rob Jenkins, Betsy Santos, and Reece Dillingham; and six great-grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by a son, Bobby in 2007.
A visitation will be held Thursday, November 13, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Avenue. Graveside Services, with military honors, will be held, Friday, November 14, at 1:00 p.m., staging area #5, at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside.
