Bridget Hylton's Obituary
Bridget “Rusty” Hylton, a mother of two and retired health care professional, passed away onJanuary 21, 2008. Born Bridget Agnes Ruane in Steyning, Sussex, England, Rusty was 73 years old. She spent many years of her childhood in the English countryside village of Owslebury where she gained a lifelong love of nature and animals. Her family dubbed her Rusty for her beautiful red hair. Rusty married United States Air Force pilot Robert “Bob” Engle Hylton in 1960 in Switzerland. After the birth of their daughter, Sharon, Rusty and Bob moved to the United States of America and had a son, David. Rusty spent many years as a homemaker and raising her children. She was an accomplished cook and avid reader. A natural caregiver, Rusty’s vocation was nursing. She pursued college-level studies in nursingand applied her skills as a nurse and medical office manager at facilities in Riverside and Loma Linda. Rusty also gave back to her community as a volunteer for organizations such as the American Red Cross. She had resided in Colton since 1984.Rusty is remembered for her vivacious nature, lively wit and gift for caring for others. She was adevoted, loving mother and friend and is greatly missed. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Palcsik; son, David A. Hylton; grandson Lester Palcsik, Jr.; and former husband and constant companion Robert E. Hylton. In keeping with Rusty's wishes there will be no memorial service.
