Billy Randall Miller's Obituary
Billy Randall Miller, 71, died June 15, 2006 at his home in Calimesa, CA. He was born December 21, 1934 in Smyer, Texas. Billy entered in the U.S. Marine Corp in 1954 and obtained the rank of sergeant. He was discharged in 1957 with an honorable discharge. He entered the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve where he served for 34 years and retired with honors as Chief Port Securityman. Billy began his long and rewarding career in public service in 1959 when he joined the San Bernardino Police Dept. While with the Police Dept., he graduated from the 120th session of the FBI National Academy, and in l984 retired as Lieutenant. Billy then took a position with the County of San Bernardino Welfare Fraud Dept., where he retired as the Chief Investigator in 2001. Billy was currently employed with the Dept. of Public Safety, San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino as Captain of Facilities. Billy cherished his family above all his life’s achievements. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Linda Lee Miller of Calimesa, his loving daughter Lisa Ann Mellor and husband David, granddaughters, Cheyenne Cassidy Mellor, Meghan Leigh Wood and husband Robert, and great grandson James Randall Wood and daughter Susan Ross and grandson Justin Brito his mother Viola Roberts, brother Logan Miller and wife Beverly, sisters Charlene Gough and husband Patrick, Vicki Hodge and husband Jim and Pam Knox. Viewing will be Tuesday June 20, 2006 from 4:00PM – 7:00PM with services to follow Wednesday at 11:00Am both at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave., San Bernardino. Interment will follow at Riverside National Cemetery Staging area #2.
