Bessie Porter's Obituary
Bessie B. Porter 99, a long time resident of Colton, Ca. for over 75 years passed away at her home on June 14, 2010. She was born in Benonine, Texas Feb. 1, l911. She is preceded in death by her husband Merle Porter.
In her earlier years, she photographed for the local newspaper. They owned the photo shop in Colton, where they later moved the business to its present location which would later be known as Royal Pictures where they operated until the time of Merle’s death in 1988.
She is survived by her daughter’s Beverly (Lee) Ogg (Gene) of Eugene Or. and Marilyn (Sedivy) Powell of San Bernardino, Ca. 7 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren and 7 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Services are pending. In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made in her name to: Pacific Hospice” 1997 North Arrowhead, San Bernardino or to the Colton Christian Church, 905 E Olive St. Colton.
