BERTHA CHACON PORRAS's Obituary
Bertha Cachon Porras, 87 passed away on February 23, 2007 in Redlands, CA. Bertha was born on August 10, 1919 in Chihuahua, Mexico. She graduated from high school in El Paso, TX. And moved to San Bernardino in 1954 with her husband Mario J. Porras and 5 children. Her husband of 53 years and siblings, Hector Chacon, Leo Chacon and Natalie Castillo preceded Bertha in death. She leaves four sons; Mario E. Porras and wife Cathy, Victor X. Porras, Armando L. Porras, David J. Porras and his wife Nanette and her daughter Armida M. Kersey and her husband Bernard. She also leaves seven grandchildren; Kimberly Martini, Nicholas, Daniel, Christine, Matthew and Jessica Porras and Jennifer, David and Kristin Kersey and one great-granddaughter Haley Martini. Bertha will also be greatly missed by her two surviving sisters; Evelia Caracena and Dalmira Ramirez, nieces, nephews and all other relatives and friends. All that knew her for her style, warmth, beauty, class and sense of humor will miss her. Viewing will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2007. Chapel service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 2, 2007 both at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave., San Bernardino. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery next to her husband Mario Porras.
