Bertha Flores' Obituary
Bertha Flores, 92, passed away at her home in Highland, CA on December 5, 2023. Born to Luis Aguilar and Maria Concepcion Dominguez in Zacatecas, Mexico she was one of 4 children. Bertha moved to the Inland Empire over 47 years ago. She married her husband, Zacarias Flores, in 1957. Together they had 8 children, 16 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild, Gavin “Inito” De La Torre.
Every May Bertha looked forward to traveling back to her home in Mesillas for “El 20 de Mayo” - a nearly 100 year old religious tradition she helped to carry on.
Bertha is survived by her children Luz De La Tore of Highland, CA, Miguel Flores of Highland, CA, Graciela Flores-Sanchez of Texas, Carolina Flores of Highland, CA, Martha Flores, of Santa Monica, CA, Zacarias Flores Jr., of Highland, CA and Fernando Flores of Highland, CA and her sixteen beloved grandchildren and one great-grandson. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Zacarias, who passed in 2012, and her beloved eldest daughter, Rocio Angelica, who passed in 2004.
