Maj. Bert Joseph Flower's Obituary
Bert Flower, 92, of San Bernardino, CA passed away peacefully on April 8, 2017.
He was born October 26, 1924, in Cleveland, OH, to Bert Edward Flower and Anna Nettie Krejci, and is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Donald Flower, sister, Patricia Hatch and first wife Betty Jean King.
Growing up in Chicago, he graduated Fenger H.S. in 1942. He served in Europe during World War II and retired as a Major after 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. He lived for the past 60 years in San Bernardino.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Alice ‘Geri’ Flower, daughter Christine Allmon (Robert) of Hemet, son Wayne Flower (Nancy) of Big Bear, son John Haid of Panama City, FL, and daughters Alice Rindfleisch of Albuquerque, NM, and Ann Rogers (William) of Highland, along with 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. The Flower family wishes to thank caregivers Rose Morgan-Swayzer, and Leticia Gonzalez, as well as, the staff in the Arbor Unit of Brightwater Senior Living of Highland for all their care and support.
