Barb and I went to Nursing School together. She always had a quick smile and an encouraging word during those tough times. She frequently described herself as "the oldest student in the class". We worked together at Arrowhead for many years. Barb's love of her family was evident by the frequent stories she told about her life at home. I was lucky enough to work with Batbara as a new graduate RN and for many years after. Barbara was a wonderful, loving and funny person and she made every day, regardless of the difficulty or stress, fun. She always had a ready smile and an encouraging word. Although I have not seen or spoken to Barbara in many years, she has often been in my thoughts and in the thoughts of her other co-workers. We just heard the news about Barbara and we are shocked and sad. Barbara was a beautiful girl/women with a smile that lit up the room. I have so many fond memories of growing up through High School with Barbara, attending Valley and even working at the then County Hospital in her early years. She was a sincere and caring person. Her positive attitude and smile were infectious. My sincere and deepest sympathy to the entire family, John, Nick, Mrs. Anchales, brothers Chuckie and George as well as her sister Bea.
