BABETTE HARRIS MEYERS's Obituary
Babette Harris Meyers, 83 a life-long resident of San Bernardino, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2009 after a valiant fight with lung cancer and emphysema. As the last remaining San Bernardino resident of the Harris family who founded the Harris Company, Babette contributed much to the community in a variety of endeavors. She served on the St. Bernardino Hospital Foundation, San Bernardino City Library Board, past President of the Assistance League and Les Confreres, Family Services Agency Board, Board of the San Bernardino Symphony as well as Santa Claus, Inc. Babette is survived by two sons, Jess Meyers and his wife, Nikki of Lake Forest, California and Harris Meyers and his wife Sharon of San Jose, California; three grandchildren, Jessica, Marcia and Bennet Meyers; and one sister, Joan Nordman of Camarillo, California. Private services for the family will be held.
