AUSTIN - STEMBRIDGE's Obituary
Austin Stembridge, 96, of San Bernardino, Ca. passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2008 in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. He is survived by his wife, Marion Schick, daughter, Joan and her husband, Richard, Cismowski of San Bernardino, son Donald A. and his wife, Nancy Stembridge of Penn Valley, Ca., granddaughter, Kerry Cismowski, grandsons, Michael and Ben Stembridge and a brother, James Stembridge of Kernville, Ca. Austin was preceded in death by his first wife, Louisa, on December 9, 1993.
Austin and his wife Marion were members of AARP Chapter 224, member of the Central Christian Church and in the 1940’s Austin owned and operated with his brothers a grocery store in Colton, Ca. Later, Austin and his brother James, owned and operated the Stembridge Hardware store in San Bernardino during the 1940’s throught the 1970’s.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 11, 2008 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave. San Bernardino, Ca. with funeral services Friday at 12 noon at Bobbitt’s. Private inurnment at Montecito Memorial Park Cemetery, Colton, Ca.
