Augustine "Gus" Henry Zimmerman's Obituary
Augustine (Gus) H. Zimmerman, 75 passed away May 28, 2008 in San Bernardino. Originally from Pennsylvania Gus moved to San Bernardino in 1955. Gus was a veteran of the Air Force. He worked for the San Bernardino Sun for 30 years and at the Women’s Club of San Bernardino for six. He was also involved in many other organizations such as Boy Scouts of America Troop 36, The American Legion Post 14 and the Bowling League of Del Rosa Lanes.
His loving wife Joyce to whom he would have been married for 50 years in September survives Gus. Also surviving him are his son David J. Zimmerman (Martha), his granddaughter Christina Zimmerman all of San Bernardino, CA; his siblings, Anna Mary, Margaret, Richard, Mary and Robert and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate Gus’ life will be held at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 785 N. Arrowhead Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92401 on Tuesday June 3rd at 1:00 p.m.
Interment was private at Montecito Memorial Park.
