George Aguilar
My heartfelt condolences to the Samsel family. Bob was my best friend in junior high and high school in Upland. He invited me to come to his house at
1300 N & 13th ave. I met his Parents, Peggy and Art, Debbie and Jeff ( he was always teasing his siblings, like most big brothers do). The Samsel family was always good to me. They were kind, generous and treated like one of the family. I met Bob while attending Upland Jr high. His family had moved from New Hampshire or Vermont. He had a back east accent (we called it a Bostonian accent). He loved the Boston Celtics, and the Patriots. I was unaware of his passing (that is my fault, I should have kept in touch) But was thinking of the people that have impacted my life and I thought of Bob. I would like to share a scripture that has given me comfort for those who have passed on. " Now, concerning the state of the soul between death and the resurrection—Behold, it has been made known unto me by an angel, that the spirits of all men, as soon as they are departed from this mortal body, yea, the spirits of all men, whether they be good or evil, are taken home to that God who gave them life." Bob is in a good place.
