Armen Turadian's Obituary
Armen Turadian, 92, passed away at his home on June 7, 2011 in San Bernardino, CA. He was an extremely proficient person, organized to the ninth degree and an excellent and well respected violinist and musician. Originally from Bronx NY; he came to California in 1949 after receiving his Bachelor’s degree in music for Oberlin College in Ohio. He received his Masters of Music Degree from USC in 1951 and immediately became active in teaching, performing and orchestral work.
In 1958, he moved to Rialto where he continued his work, reactivating the San Bernardino Symphony where he was Concertmaster for approximately 30 years. He was also active with the Riverside Symphony and other musical organizations in the area. He was an avid and proficient golfer and had been a member of Arrowhead Country Club since 1969 where he recorded 13 holes in one!
His allegiance to his country was never ending and he served in the US Army Air Corps. He was a sergeant in the 422nd Bomb Squadron during WWII where he served in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, Central Europe and the Air Offensive of Europe.
He was preceded in death by Agnes “Aggie” his loving wife of 63 years. He is survived by his sister Gloria (Elmer) Kaprielian and sister in law Ann. Also surviving him are his nieces and nephews and extended friends and family. Armen’s passion during his lifetime was his animals, his loving dog Yukon survived him and 11 dogs and 2 cats went on before.

A celebration of Armen and Aggie’s life will be held at a date and location to be announced. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Armen and Aggie’s memories to Humane Society of San Bernardino County (763 W. Highland Ave. San Bernardino, CA 92405)
