ARLENE E. YOUNG's Obituary
Arlene E. Young, 89, a San Bernardino county resident for 45 years, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009 at Redland Community Hospital. A native of Rhode Island, she came to the area in 1964. She worked as a clerk at Harris Company and was a volunteer, serving in the St. Bernadine Hospital Auxiliary. She was also a member of the BPOE #836 Emblem Club.
Arlene was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Fred. Survivors include: two sons, Sidney Young and his wife, Sylvia of Fort Valley, Georgia and Gilbert Young , also of Fort Valley; brother, John Weathered of San Bernardino; a daughter, Gayle MacKenzie and her husband, Pat, of Yucaipa; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held, Friday, September 11, at 9:30 a.m. at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Avenue. Interment will be private.
