Arda Luree Mashburn's Obituary
Arda Luree "Teri" Mashburn, 72 passed away December 24, 2011 at St Bernardine Medical Center in San Bernardino, CA She was born in Taylorville, Illinois and had been a resident of San Bernardino, for over 58 years. Arda was a member of the first Class to graduate from Pacific High School. She was a Customer Service Rep for Southern California Gas Co until her medical retirement in 1991. She enjoyed extended travels throughout the United States with her husband Ken until her medical problems took control. She then enjoyed working with her roses and concentrated on enjoying life with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son Raymond.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Kenneth of San Bernardino, California, son Dan Mashburn (Rebecca) of San Diego, California and daughter Candi Varela (Rey) of San Bernardino, California. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Hailey Mashburn, Christopher Mashburn, and Clair Luree Varela.
It was Arda's request that she now remain with the "Bodies for Science" Program at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. It was her desire that others benefit and learn from the many years of treatment and medical experience she endured through her lifetime.
Arda and her family are extremely grateful to Dr. Thomas Hellwig and the entire staff of the San Bernardino Medical Group for their kindness, care, understanding and expertise. Additionally not enough can be said of the care and medical excellence of the St Bernardine Medical Center doctors and the Critical Care Unit nurses and staff. Thank you Side 4.
Friends and family are asked to join a "Farewell Toast" to Arda (our Teri Teri) to be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 6-8 p.m. at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave. San Bernardino, CA.
The family would like to suggest that you also consider a Donor Program "In Memory of Arda" when it might become an option.
