“Tony” was born in Guam on May 6, 1932. He was the first of nine siblings. He survived the Japanese occupation during WWII. After the death of his first wife, Tony joined the United States Air Force and traveled the world. He served during the Korean and Vietnam wars. While in the military, Tony married Pat and together they had a daughter, Evette. Evette later gave birth to Tony’s first granddaughter, Natasha. After Tony’s marriage to Pat ended, he met Caroline and together they had a son whom they named Karlos… with a “K.” Tony and Caroline later married and together had a daughter, Tarsha. Tony and his family were eventually stationed at Norton Air Force Base, where he would retire as Master Sargent, having served for 26 years. After Tony’s third marriage ended, he met and developed a relationship with Margarita Alvarez. Tony entered a second career with Owl Rock before retiring permanently.
During retirement, Tony increased his involvement in the Catholic Church, exercised daily, and maintained a spotless home. Tony loved his children and grandchildren and was always happy when visited by family. Tony’s retirement was highlighted by visits to Guam, Greece, and Israel. For Tony, his trip to Israel was a highlight of his life. He was pleased that he got to see the land where Jesus lived. Tony suffered a severe stroke at the age of 88. But being the fighter that he is, Tony made significant recovery and lived another two years. Tony and Margarita remained together for nearly forty-four years until Tony passed away. Tony was surrounded by family as he transitioned into the presence of the Lord.
Tony was a hard-working, independent, responsible, reliable, dependable, organized, detailed, sincere and kind man. He is greatly loved and will be missed by those he has left behind.
