Antonio Y. Cervantes' Obituary
ANTONIO Y. CERVANTES, San BernardinoAntonio “Tony” Cervantes, 92, died Feb 28 at Arcadia Methodist Hospital. Born in Calexico, he was a lifetime resident of Colton and San Bernardino. His family owned the Cervantes Market in South Colton for many years. He retired from the civil service at Camp Pendleton Marine Base, and was also employed as a driver by the San Bernardino Sun. He was a WWII Army combat veteran in the Philippines and then was part of the occupation of Japan. He is survived by his children: Martha (Tom) Korbuszewski of Eagle River, AK, Tony of Los Angeles, David (Beth) of Phoenix, AZ, Leticia (Bill) of Sierra Madre and Gabriel (Eileen) of Appleton WI, grandchildren Molly, Andrew, Jillian Cervantes and Will Cosso. Rosary will be at 7:00 PM Thursday at Bobbitt Courtyard Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 AM Friday at Our Lady of the Rosary Cathedral, followed by interment at Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
