We are sad to hear about the loss of Tony, our wonderful neighbor. We will miss his smiling face as he sat in his rocking chair on his back porch. He always had a jovial presence and caring personality for people and he showed how caring he was for us as neighbors. We will miss him dearly.

Topny's family probably already knows he was an honorable men, but here is an example. When Tony was president of Arrowhead Lake Association, I was a newly elected director. He was courteous in appointing me to a special committee. then we had a bump in the road and we were on opposite sides of a legal issue. Years later Tony had the class to apologize to me and say those three magic words, "I was wrong". We became friends and I loved my friendship with this very classy guy! My condolences to the family.

My husband was going to The Mug when he was in High School in the 50's. We went just about every time we went to San Bernardino from Lake Arrowhead. Our daughter would call him "Tony the Mug"! Tony was kind enough to call during one of the fires to make sure I was OK as my Husband was on the fire. Everyone is RIGHT about the best Italian food in San Bernardino. Everytime
we go to San Bernardino we have to make a stop at "THE MUG". We will miss his happy face and his conversation.##imported-begin##Bill & Jeanne Mack##imported-end##

Tony was like a brother to my dad, Angelo Romeo, which made Tony like an uncle to me. I have fond memories of walking into the Mug and immediately being recognized. It always felt like we were surrounded by family. I remember Tony had a passion for racing, which was no secret with all the race photos on the wall. It will be hard to imagine the Mug without Tony. From me and my family to the Trozera family we share in your pain with Tony’s passing.##imported-begin##Ernie Romeo##imported-end##
I have been going to the Mug with my family since I was a small child. The past several years we have had many Citrus Valley Girls Golf Team dinners there. Tony always made us feel special and the girls loved the pizza.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Tony will definitely be missed.

Tony was a real hero to many of us in every sense of the word. He was strong and courageous, a man of his word and always a friend. I am proud to have known him.

Our family has dined at The Mug for over 50 years and enjoyed the food and esp. hospitality of the staff and esp. the host Tony with his cheery hello and jaunty hat.
We have celebrated numerous occasions there and or just plain went to have the best pizza in town. Tony will be sorely missed and his memory will forever be in our hearts as an icon of our city. God bless him and his family.
