ANNE MARIE LOEFFLER's Obituary
Anne Marie Loeffler, long-time resident of San Bernardino, went to be with the Lord on July 25, 2007, at the wonderful age of 92 with her immediate family present. She is survived by her son, John of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, her daughters Susan of Salem, Oregon, and Anne of Portland Oregon, and her niece Carmel Brand of San Bernardino. She was also blessed with seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Anne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Maj. Robert Loeffler (USAF Ret.), and her siblings Eileen, Gerry, Marge and John. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey on June 8, 1915, Anne lived on three continents – Africa, Europe, and North America due to her husband’s air force career. Ultimately Anne would call San Bernardino home for more than four decades. A long-standing member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church, she was active in Catholic Daughters and volunteered at St. Bernardine’s Medical Center for more than 20 years. Anne lost her home in the Waterman fire of 2003 and due to health reasons went to live in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, with her son and daughter-in-law, for the remaining years of her life but always stayed in touch with her many friends in San Bernardino. Even at 92, she remained active, having just returned from her granddaughter’s wedding in Ohio in June. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, August 2, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church on Del Rosa (Formerly St. Anne’s Catholic Church) at 6885 Del Rosa Ave in San Bernardino with interment at Riverside National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Viewing will be Wednesday, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel with a prayer vigil at 6:00 p.m.
