Mrs Ann N. Heap's Obituary
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend. Born to John and Helen Nemesh as the second of four children on March 7, 1918 in Mt. Olive, Illinois. Anna “Ann” Nemesh Heap passed away on January 8, 2016 in Highland, CA. Her husband, George H. Heap, predeceased her in 2007, after 62 years of marriage. After having lived in 11 other states, they arrived in California in 1960 and moved to San Bernardino in 1967. Ann was a member and officer of the San Bernardino Elks Emblem Club #178, a member of St. Adelaide’s Catholic Church and was active in the Catholic Daughters at Holy Rosary Cathedral. She co-owned a beauty salon and was a model in Chicago before marrying, was a hair dresser in Florida and other states; in the Inland Empire she occasionally did retail work, modeled and was an MC at fashion shows. Her primary responsibilities, though, were as wife, mother and homemaker.
Surviving are son James L. Heap and wife Christine Bennett of Stirling, Ontario, Canada; daughter Beverly A. Heap-Davis and husband Almer J. Davis of Rowland Heights; son Robert B. Heap and wife Jody Edwards Heap of Burbank; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral services and reception will be held Thursday, January 28, 2016 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel 1299 E. Highland Avenue. A private graveside service will follow at Riverside National Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers please make donations to
