Mrs Angel Green's Obituary
Angel Victoria (Evans) Green, 91, of Highland, California died on October 16,
2015 at Brightwater Assisted Living Center. She was born on June 7, 1924 in Xenia, Ohio to William Everett Evans and Garetta Emmaline Evans.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Paul L. Green, her brother, Reginald S. Evans and her sister, Beatrice Mallory. Angel attended Wilberforce University in Wilberforce Ohio and worked at Wright Patterson Air Force base in Dayton, Ohio. She married Paul L. Green on April 2, 1943.
During their Air Force career, they lived in many places including Alaska, New York, Mississippi, Japan, Oregon, Florida, Ohio, New Jersey and Germany.
She was a member of St. John AME church in Ohio (later to become United AME) and attended both the Traditional Community Fellowship Chapel and Immanuel Baptist Church in Highland, California. Angel was an avid bridge player and Involved in many community organizations. She was the 1995 Christmas Tree Lane Chairperson and was very active in the organization for several years serving on various committees over the years.
Surviving are her children, Noriko Morrison of Atlanta Georgia and Galen Green of Studio City, California; grandchildren Paul E. Green of Montreal, Canada; Jeff Morrison of Atlanta, Georgia and John Morrison of Atlanta, Georgia; and great grandchildren Mackenzie Morrison, Grayson Morrison and Taylor Morrison, all of Atlanta, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
