Andrew "Andy" Lowe's Obituary
Andrew “Andy” Lowe passed away on June 14, 2026, at the age of 71 in Redlands, CA surrounded by family.
Born on November 10, 1954, in Bucharest, Romania, Andy immigrated to the United States with his parents at the age of 16. He brought with him determination, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to learning. He built a life defined by service, mentorship, and devotion to those around him.
He graduated from Fairfax High School in Los Angeles, CA and went on to attend UCLA for his undergraduate education. Following graduation, he worked in the nephrology research department at UCLA before pursuing his doctorate of pharmacy at UCSF School of Pharmacy. He completed his residency through Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) at San Bernardino County Medical Center, now known as Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. He continued to work for CPS and Arrowhead Regional Medical Center throughout his career.
Over the course of many years, Andy became not only an exceptional clinical pharmacist but also a deeply respected educator and mentor. As Residency Program Director, he found immense purpose in training and supporting future generations of pharmacists. He additionally taught pharmacology in physician assistant programs throughout the Inland Empire and took tremendous pride in his students. His guidance extended far beyond academics—he was someone people turned to for advice, encouragement, and steady support through all stages of life.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Andy was known for his quick wit, generous spirit, and ever-present sense of humor. He laughed easily and made others feel at ease in his presence. He had a passion for cooking and approached it with enthusiasm and creativity, always eager to experiment with the newest kitchen device or technique. He loved to travel and embraced the world with curiosity, becoming a true global citizen.
Above all else, he was a devoted husband and father. His family was the center of his life, and he gave his love freely and completely. He was the kind of person who would drop everything to be there when needed. His presence brought comfort, joy, and strength, and the space he leaves behind is immeasurable.
He is survived by his mother, Judith; his wife, Anne; his daughter, Lydia; and many brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
His legacy lives on in the countless students and pharmacists he mentored, the colleagues and patients he supported, and the family and friends who were fortunate to know and love him.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
