Almeda Loretta Simmons' Obituary
Almeda Loretta Simmons, 73, of San Bernardino, California passed away on March 4, 2015 in San Bernardino California. Almeda was born in Maywood, California and lived most of her life in the Inland Empire. She was a graduate of Redlands High School, Class of 1959. Almeda was devoted to her entire family. She had an unconditional love for her children, grandchildren and all those who were a part of her life. She loved to travel. By the time she was 36 she had traveled around the world with her late husband, Rich, and lived in places like Japan and Puerto Rico. She loved to travel with her companion, Jerry Mendoza, taking their annual trips to Arizona and long drives and hikes on weekends. She always saw beauty in places, people and things around her and had a special love for music and Native American Art. She is survived by her son Kenneth Simmons, her daughter Tracey Martinez, step-son Richard C. Riess, brothers Gene Moffitt (Maggie), Bob Moffitt , and sister-in-law, Merriel Moffitt, grandchildren Ryan Riess, Nichole Riess, Austin Simmons, Justin Martinez, Devin Martinez and long-time companion Jerry Mendoza and numerous family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Owen Moffitt and mother, Alta Moffitt, husband Richard C. Simmons and brother Ronald R. Moffitt.
