Alice "Geri" Flower's Obituary
Our beloved mother, best known as Geri, was called home by our Lord May 9, 2018. Born April 26, 1932, in Davis, WV, daughter of Orie and Belinda Hinkle. She graduated from Aurora High School WV in 1950. After marrying her first husband in 1952, Geri and her family moved to California in 1959. Briefly working at Harris Company, Geri then started a career at Bank of America (B of A) retiring in 1987 with 25 years. In 1977, Geri married Bert and spent 20 years traveling extensively abroad. She was a member of the Retired B of A Association. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bert Joseph Flower of 40 years, 5 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by her children: Alice Rindfleisch of Albuquerque, NM; John Haid of Panama City Beach. FL; Ann Rogers (William) of Highland, CA; Christine Allmon (Robert) of Hemet, CA; and Wayne Flower (Nancy) of Big Bear City, CA; along with 8 grandchildren: Christine Houston, David Haid, John Haid, Ronald Scriven, Gregory Haid, Jeff Flower, Scott Flower, and Amy Ledbetter; and 17 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at a visitation from 5:00-7:00 pm on Sunday, May 20, 2018. A chapel service will be on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 10:00 am, both at Bobbitt Memorial, 1299 E. Highland Avenue, San Bernardino, CA. A committal service will follow at 12:15 pm at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92518.
