Alice M. Broholm's Obituary
Alice Mary Broholm passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones May 20,2025 at her home in Rialto CA at the age of 88.
Alice was born and raised in San Bernardino CA. She graduated high school from San Bernardino High where she made lifelong friendships and met the love of her life, John Broholm. She was a stay-at-home mom until her children were grown. At which time she started her career as a product demonstrator at the Fedco store in San Bernardino. She had such a love for the job and the people she worked with, that Fedco offered her a management position which she held for approximately 18 years until her retirement in 1999, and there too, she made lifelong friends.
Alice married John Broholm in 1956, and before John’s death in 2022 they celebrated 65 years of a wonderful marriage. They had four children, John Michael, Norman Martin, Veronica Lynn Sharp and Leticia Marie Christian who have all stayed very close and loved her greatly. In addition, Alice leaves behind a friend and son-in-law, Alan Sharp as well as son-in-law Brad Christian. Alice will be missed greatly by 7 grandchildren, Jerrod Broholm, Valerie Amis, Phillip and Melissa Broholm, Julia and Shelby Donley, Andrew Sharp, Ian Sharp, and Erik and Anna Sharp. She also leaves, 6 great grandchildren, Eli and Gabriel Amis, Jacob and Josephine Broholm, and Abigail and August Sharp. She will also be missed by her two sisters, Ophelia Holiday and Veronica Paul, along with 5 nieces and 11 nephews.
Alice was preceded in death by her mother and father, Nellie and Marshall Nunez, her sister Lucy Duncan, her brothers, Arthur and Ernie Nunez.
Alice leaves not to mourn her passing but celebrate her life, her legacy of kindness, her beautiful smile, her extra ordinary big heart, and her love for meeting new friends wherever she went. Alice was a loving wife and mother who consistently went above and beyond to help her family and friends in need.
Alice will be deeply missed forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
Services will be held at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel at 1299 Highland Avenue, San Bernardino, Saturday, July 19 at 10:00am. Immediately following will be a celebration of life at Hilltop Banquet Hall, 670 N. Kendall Drive, San Bernardino, CA 92407, formerly known as the Castaways Restaurant.
